PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which makes it possible to mount a soft stencil paper being a single film on a stencil mounting body without a slack or the like, discharges the stencil paper from the stencil mounting body, and supplies the paper to it by a simple structure and control in a short time. SOLUTION: A printing device 12 comprises: the stencil mounting body 18 which has front and back clamps 28A and 28B holding the front and back end parts of the stencil paper 10 and on which the stencil paper 10 is mounted; and a clamp opening-closing mechanism which opens and closes the front and back clamps 28A and 28B at a base position Z. The device is so constituted that a stencil removing device 17 receives the front end part of used stencil paper 10 from the front clamp 28A disposed at the base position Z and a stencil supplying device 13 supplies the front end part of fresh stencil paper 10 to the front clamp and that the stencil removing device 17 receives the back end part of the used stencil paper 10 from the back clamp 28B at the time when the back clamp 28B is disposed at the base position Z or by the time when it arrives at the position Z, by the rotation of the stencil mounting body 18, and the stencil supplying device 13 supplies the back end part of the fresh stencil paper 10 to the back clamp disposed at the base position.
