摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a thick steel plate having excellent hot bending property, which manufacturing method can excellently preserve the appearance and the working accuracy of a workpiece by efficiently performing the bending work by shortening the working time than before, and further to provide a method for bending the thick steel plate. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the thick steel plate having the excellent hot bending property, the yield point of the hot rolled thick steel plate having a ferrite fraction of 20% or more is lowered by correctively rolling the steel plate at such a temperature as not to cause the aging at a rolling reduction of 0.1 to 0.5%, and then the hot rolled thick steel plate is bent after linearly heating one surface side of the steel plate. In the bending method of the thick steel plate having the excellent hot bending property, the temperature of the hot rolled thick steel plate is raised to the range from 300°C to less than 600°C when the hot rolled thick steel plate is bent after linearly heating the one surface side of the hot rolled thick steel plate.
