PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method of molten steel, which method can relax a thermal shock to an immersion nozzle by preventing the temperature drop of the immersion nozzle. SOLUTION: In the continuous casting method of the molten steel, the immersion nozzle 12 is mounted on a tundish 11 of a continuous casting machine, and is arranged in a casting mold 13, and the molten steel existing in the tundish 11 is poured into the casting mold 13 via the immersion nozzle 12. The discharge port 17 of the immersion nozzle 12 is covered with heat insulating material 18 in order to prevent the radiation of heat. When the immersion nozzle 12 is used, the heat insulating material 18 is melted and dissipated by the molten steel supplied to the immersion nozzle 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
