PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable anybody of a manufacturer, a retailer or a consumer to easily adjust the width of footwear. SOLUTION: This footwear 1 has at least one elastic member having the peripheral contour including a central part 4a' and a side surface part 4a" with a defined width dimension between them. The elastic member is provided with an operable adjusting mechanism for selecting a desired adjusting degree of the width dimension.
