<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium with a sophisticated feeling, featuring high glossiness/head matching properties during printing, excellent color developing density/shelf stability of a developed image, as the thermal recording medium having a thermal color developing layer formed on a support and a radiation-curable overcoat layer formed on the thermal color developing layer through an intermediate layer. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal recording medium comprises the thermal color developing layer which contains a colorless or pale-color color developing compound and a developing compound enabling the former to thermally develop a color, on the support, and further, the radiation-curable overcoat layer formed on the thermal color developing layer through the intermediate layer. In addition, the intermediate layer contains an isobutylene/maleic anhydride/maleimide copolymer, polyvinyl alcohol or a modified polyvinyl alcohol, a hydrophobic polymer compound and a colloidal inorganic compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
