SPREAD SPECTRUM CLOCK GENERATOR

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spread spectrum clock generator which is easily designed with its profile simply alterable.

SOLUTION: The spread spectrum clock generator is provided with: a clock source for generating a clock of a predetermined single frequency; a triangular wave source for generating triangular waves of a predetermined frequency; a secondary current source for generating a secondary current complying with a predetermined quadratic function according to the voltage of triangular waves inputted from the triangular wave source and for deciding the direction of the secondary current according to a switching signal; a current-voltage conversion circuit for converting the secondary current outputted from the secondary current source into predetermined control voltage; and a voltage control delay line for varying the delay of a clock inputted from the clock source according to the control voltage converted with the current-voltage conversion circuit and for outputting the clock as a spread spectrum clock whose clock frequency varies for each clock.
