<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a cause of trouble of a device, even one which can not be started up, without bothering a clerk of a store that receives a request for repair. <P>SOLUTION: A kiosk terminal 20 that receives a request for repair is disposed in a store such as an around-the-clock convenience store. When a computer device 10 is connected to the kiosk terminal 20, a user support center terminal 30 transmits a starting up file to the computer device 10 for starting it up, acquires a model number of the device, and transmits a corresponding operation test file. The user support center terminal 30 analyzes results of the operation test, judges whether the failure of the computer device 10 is due to use of a driver of a different version or due to a failure of the hardware, and, based on the results of the judgement, installs a driver of a suitable version, gives a home-delivery service terminal 40 a shipping instruction for the failed unit, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
