PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for supplying a liquid for a liquid discharge head and capable of using sample solutions in a liquid housing part at a high usage rate and storing the solutions without having to discard the solutions even in the case that the sample solutions remain in the liquid housing part and provide a liquid housing container used in the method. SOLUTION: The liquid housing container 100 is provided with a main body 10 provided with the liquid housing part 16 having both a supply opening 12 and a dispensing outlet 14; a supply opening sealing means 20 capable of sealing the supply opening 12 and being attached to and removed from the main body 10; and a dispensing outlet sealing means 30 capable of sealing the dispensing outlet 14 and being attached to and removed from the main body 10. The main body 10 is mounted on the droplet discharge head 200 in such a way that the dispensing outlet 14 may communicate with a channel provided for the droplet discharge head 200.
