PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic detection type sensor that employs a switch and prevents determination of a closed state when a window, a door, or the like is in a half closed state. SOLUTION: The magnetic detection type sensor to be installed in the window, door, or the like comprises a switch section and a magnetic field measuring section for measuring the magnetic field strength. When a switch section detects ON and the magnetic field strength obtained from the magnetic field measuring section exceeds a predetermined closing strength, it is determined that the window, door, or the like is closed.
