PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete column 1 restrained from deterioration of strength by reducing brittle fracture of covering concrete 20 in the concrete column 1 using high strength concrete. SOLUTION: The concrete column 1 is constituted to provide the covering concrete 20 formed integrally around core concrete 10 formed of high strength concrete 11 with a design reference strength of≥100 [N/mm<SP>2</SP>] and≤200 [N/mm<SP>2</SP>], wherein the covering concrete 20 is formed of concrete 21 with a design reference strength of≥40 [N/mm<SP>2</SP>] and≤100 [N/mm<SP>2</SP>] lower than the design reference strength of the high strength concrete.
