PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box which solves the problem of requiring a large amount of facility cost and labor cost for drying wood, of specification exceeding the capacity limit of wood, such as the unevenness of compression/bending strength, of mold growth on wood requiring a mold preventive measure, of pine weevils breeding on wood requiring a transportation measure, and of joint work according to the type of use that requires a strong joint according to the use of the box, or joint work in a sufficient consideration of safety in machining. SOLUTION: The box is of a solid or rectangular parallelepiped, and is composed of a square bottom face, and four side faces erecting upright from four peripheral sides of the bottom face. The side faces are made of side plates, wood-processed pillars, and wood-processed stiles, or are made of the side plates and the wood-processed stiles. Each side plate is of a plate selected from a group consisting of a thermoplastic resin hollow structure plate and a synthetic resin sheet. The side plates, pillars, and the wood-processed stiles are joined via joint means selected from a group consisting of staplers, nails, such as bevel nails for construction work, double-side tape, and adhesives.
