PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stamp which does not allow a shutter to open except the case when a stamping operation is performed and is hardly susceptible of such a trouble that shielding plates are opened or damaged by stationery finding its way through an opening. SOLUTION: This stamp comprises a stamp main body 1 equipped with a porous printing element 2, an ascending/descending sheath body 5 which is fitted in the forward part of the stamp main body 1 and has normally the apex positioned ahead of a printing surface, and a shutter member 14 configured of a pair of the shielding plates 15 and 15 which are housed in the ascending/descending sheath body 5, normally concealing the printing element 2 but are opened to actuate the printing element 2 by an interlocking action with the ascent of the sheath body 5 following the stamping operation. In this stamp, the apex of one of the shielding plates 15 of the shutter member 14 is formed into an uneven edge configured of an engagement protruding piece 15a and an engagement receiving edge 15b. On the other hand, the apex of the other shielding plate 15 is formed into an uneven edge corresponding to the engagement protruding piece 15a and the engagement receiving edge 15b of the one shielding plate 15.
