A chain (1) has links (2) and pairs of first and second pins (3, 4) for connecting the links with one another. A first pin (3) is in rolling-sliding contact with a second pin (4), at a contact section (D). The first pin (3) has a pair of end surfaces (17) facing a chain width direction (W). A contact region (24) in contact with the corresponding surface of a sheave of a pulley is formed on each end surface (17). The contact region (24) includes a contact center point (M). The first pin (3) has a first kind pin (3a) and a second kind pin (3b). When a straight linear section of the chain (1) is viewed from the chain width direction (W), relative positions between the contact section (D) and the contact center point (M) are different in the first kind pin (3a) and the second kind pin (3b).
