CONDUCTIVE ROLLER, AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS HAVING THE CONDUCTIVE ROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive roller which suppresses adhesion of a toner and external additive to a roller surface, prevents occurrence of image defects due to adhesion of scraped powder of a photoreceptor, and ensures good charge from the initial stage to the end of long-term use, and to provide a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus using the conductive roller.

SOLUTION: The conductive roller comprises at least a conductive substrate, a conductive elastic layer and a conductive coating layer, wherein the conductive coating layer is formed of a seamless tube containing a thermoplastic polymer, a surface of the conductive roller is coated with a surface-hydrophobed inorganic compound, and glossiness of the roller after the coating is 7.5 to <22.0%. The electrophotographic apparatus using the conductive roller is also provided.
