<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel circuit capable of sufficiently writing even a fine signal current of black level, and a display device and a driving method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The pixel circuit 2 includes transistors Tr6 and Tr7 and a couple of pixel capacitors Cs1 and Cs2, and the 1st capacitor wherein a signal voltage Vcs2 is sampled and the 2nd capacitor Cs1 where a reference voltage Vcs1 is sampled are connected to each other to obtain a difference Vcs2', which is held as a control voltage in the 2nd capacitor Cs2. A driving transistor Trd receives the control voltage Vcs2' held in the 2nd capacitor Cs2 at its gate G and supplies a driving current Ids flowing between its source S and drain D to a light emitting element EL, which is made to emit light. When the signal voltage and reference voltage have a small relative difference, the light emission quantity of the light emitting element becomes small and absolute levels of the signal current and reference current are set large enough to enable sampling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
