<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron beam melting device, restraining the generation of new impurity at the time of manufacturing a titanium ingot in melting sponge titanium or titanium scraps to manufacture a titanium ingot, and preventing impurity once evaporated from a melting pool in a hearth or a casting mold from again getting mixed in the melting pool. <P>SOLUTION: This electron beam melting device includes: a raw material feeding part for feeding raw material; a raw material melting part connected to the raw material feeding part, partitioned by a furnace wall 15 and a ceiling wall 16 and provided with the hearth 11, a water-cooled casting mold 12 and an electron gun 13 at least; and an exhaust part 14 connected to the raw material melting part, wherein lining is applied to at least one of the furnace wall and the ceiling wall with titanium or stainless steel, and the ceiling wall is provided with a plurality of fin-shaped members 17 formed of titanium or stainless steel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
