<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell element capable of preventing a rear surface output derivation part on a rear surface current collector in a rear surface electrode from being peeled, and of realizing stable electric characteristics; and to provide a high reliability and high performance solar cell module using the solar cell element. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell element comprises a semiconductor substrate 1 having a light receiving surface and a non-light receiving surface; a surface electrode 4 provided on the side of the light receiving surface; a rear surface current collector 6 provided on the side of the non-light receiving surface over the substantially whole surface excepting a predetermined opening 6a taking first metal as a chief component; the rear surface output derivation part 7 formed to permit at least part thereof to pass through the inside of the opening 6a taking second metal as a chief component; a thin wire 8 comprising a thin wire having a width of≥0.05 mm and≤0.5 mm and formed to permit at least part to be overlapped on the rear surface current collector 6 taking the second metal as a chief component.
