PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-channel optical switch of a multiple input or multiple output type wherein mechanical switching of an optical path is not needed. SOLUTION: A plurality of one input two output type magneto-optical effect optical switches 201 to 207 are connected in series or in parallel to constitute an optical switch of a multiple input or multiple output type. Light inputted from an input port 51 is outputted from any one of eight output ports 61 to 68 according to a controlled state of the optical switches 201 to 207.
