PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of detecting temperatures of FETs for controlling charge and discharge, in a lithium ion battery protecting module. SOLUTION: A control IC chip 120 has a temperature detecting part 148 in addition to a discharge overcurrent detecting part VD3 and a charge overcurrent detecting part VD4. The control IC chip is put on top of a FET for controlling charge and a FET for controlling discharge to be mounted. Thereby, the temperature detecting part 148 is disposed in very close vicinity of the FET for controlling charge and the FET for controlling discharge, and the temperatures of the FET for controlling charge and the FET for controlling discharge are accurately detected.
