PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for indicating a residual amount of fuel capable of properly indicating a residual amount by an inexpensive means over all the states of the residual amount from a full state to an empty state, in a large capacity type fuel tank, and capable of indicating accurately the residual amount in a low residual amount range. SOLUTION: The system for measuring and indicating the residual amount of the fuel in the large capacity type fuel tank is provided with a float sensor for measuring the residual amount in a range where the residual amount in the fuel tank comes to a prescribed reference amount or less, at least one float switch for detecting the residual amount in a range where the residual amount in the fuel tank exceeds the prescribed reference amount, and a display means having a sensor residual amount indication part for indicating the residual amount obtained by the float sensor, and having a switch residual amount indication part for indicating the residual amount obtained by the float switch.
