PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for capable of producing a Diels-Alder adduct in a high yield with less polymeric byproduct. SOLUTION: This method for producing the Diels-Alder adduct is provided by reacting a conjugated diolefin compound with an olefin compound in the presence of an N-nitrosophenylhydroxylamine salt or a piperidin-1-oxyl compound having a hydroxy group or its ester at its 4-position.
