PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase efficiency in electrostatically charging of an electrostatic coater with an indirect electrostatic charging system which supplies a coating being electrostatically charged to an object to be coated or to a work. SOLUTION: An electrostatic coater 10 is comprised of a body member 12 having a coating passage 12a for flowing, therein, a liquid coating supplied from a coating source 44, a coating orifice fitted to the tip portion of the body member so as to communicate with the coating passage 12a and jetting the supplied coating along a prescribed axis, an atomizing air orifice for jetting an atomizing air atomizing the coating jetted from the coating orifice, a nozzle assembly 16 having a shaping air orifice for jetting a shaping air for forming the coating jetted from the coating orifice in a prescribed pattern, and a plurality of electrode pins 22 disposed about an axis O and connected to a power supply device 40.
