PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer wall material providing a novel aesthetic appearance and having construction efficiency, waterproofing function, heat insulating function, and dewing preventing function. SOLUTION: This outer wall material A comprises a roughly vertical decorative face 4, a first waterproof piece 13 formed by projecting the upper end of the decorative face 4 outward, a fitting piece 18 formed by projecting the tip portion of the first waterproof piece 13 upward, a second waterproof piece 17 forming a projection 19 by projecting the tip portion of the first waterproof piece 13 downward and projecting it outward, a female connection part 21 forming a fixed piece 15 formed by projecting the upper end of the decorative face 4 upward, a bottommost piece 8 formed by projecting near the lower end of the decorative face 4 inward, an insertion piece 9 formed by inserting the tip of the bottommost piece 8 downward, and a male connection part 12 formed by forming an engagement groove 10 with the decorative face 4, the bottommost piece 8, and the insertion piece 9. The lower end of the decorative face 4 is formed to cover the upper end part of the decorative face 4 of the outer wall material A forming a lower stage. The thickness of the male connection part 12 is set larger by the thickness of the lower end of the decorative face 4 than the thickness of the female connection part 21.
