The invention relates to security labels for concealing information that is applied to different types of media, such as plastic cards, paper or similar and that is designed only for the attention of an authorised user. The application of an interference layer (23) to said security labels prevents the information from being discovered. A printed image (4), which is applied using a reactive dye to the rear face of the backing (1) or to the front face or to the covering label (32), prevents untraceable dissolution by a solvent. Thermal welding (60) or embossing (70) also excludes transillumination from the label side. The action of security elements such as void effects are safeguarded by appropriate geometric ratios of the individual layers and in addition, the thermal joining process is improved or made possible by the application of appropriate media (61). |
