The arrangement (1) has a signal input and a switching contact provided with parallel resistors. A signal current flows in the input when the switching contact is closed and a quiescent current flows in the input when the contact is open. The signal input is connected to a signal line, and two signal outputs (P10, P11) produce combination of digital output signals based on switching state of the contact.
