<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely discriminating the type of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in accordance with the international method, and to provide a new primer pair set to be used therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The method for discriminating the type of Pseudomonas aeruginosa is characterized by comprising carrying out an amplification reaction using as template a DNA obtained from a test Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain with a pair of primers consisting of a pair of oligonucleotides specific to respective O-antigenic serum type Pseudomonas aeruginosa DNAs and discriminating to which of the pair of primers the resulting amplified product corresponds to discriminate the O-antigenic serum type of the test strain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
