PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifying device capable of outputting a high precision monitor signal and of reducing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A preamplifier component 9 is formed by integrating a preamplifier circuit 10 and a monitor circuit 11 on a single board. Herein, the preamplifier 10 is connected in series to an anode side of a light receiving element 8, and the monitor circuit 11 is connected in series to a cathode side of the light receiving element 8. The monitor circuit 11 comprises a resistance element 12 connected between the light receiving element 8 and a driving power supply, and a monitor signal output circuit 13 connected to opposite ends of the resistance element 12. It is hereby possible to perform various signal processings by amplifying a detected current Ip using the preamplifier circuit 10 and output a monitor signal Vm responsive to the detection current Ip using the monitor circuit 11.
