PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a master set monitor etc. to output a video image of a camera from another apparatus while communication is made between a slave set and the master set etc. SOLUTION: The slave set 1a in this television door intercom system is provided with a packet processing unit 19 for video-packetizing video data picked up by a camera 14, audio-packetizing audio data entered into a slave set speech unit 12 and sending the data to the master set 5, and processing the audio-packetized voice from a master set speech unit 56 into audio data. The master set 5 is provided with a packet processing unit 65 for processing the video-packetized video packet from the slave set into video data and outputting and displaying it on a monitor, processing the audio packet from the slave set into audio data and outputting it from the master set speech unit, and audio-packetizing the audio data entered into the master set speech unit and sending the data to the slave set; and a CPU 63 for switching the video data to the video data of the video-packetized video packet from a second slave set and outputting and displaying the video data on a monitor while the master set is making a call with a first slave set while outputting the video image of the video-packetized video packet from the first slave set on the monitor.
