DATA STORAGE SYSTEM AND DATA STORAGE CONTROL UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate packaging configuration for a storage system having a plurality of control modules which control a plurality of storage devices even if the number of control modules is increased while maintaining low latency response. SOLUTION: A plurality of storage devices (2-0 to 2-35) are connected to a 2nd interface (42) of each of control modules (4-0 to 4-7) with back-end routers (5-0 to 5-7) and redundancy is maintained to allow all control modules access all storage devices. The control module and a 1st switch unit are also connected by a serial bus having small number of signals which constitutes an interface at a back panel (7).
