PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel fluid pressure damper having simple construction for generating desired braking force in a desired operation region, and to provide an elevating storage device equipped therewith. SOLUTION: The fluid pressure damper comprises a casing filled with fluid and a piston member for sliding along the inner wall of the casing.
