PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner provided with a small-sized and easy-to-handle cyclone separation type dust collecting part which has a high suction work rate and a high dust collecting performance and suppresses the decline of the suction force and air volume of the cleaner even in the case of collecting dust. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is provided with a first separation chamber 104 for separating the dust from air containing the dust, a first dust housing part 105a arranged near the first separation chamber and a second inflow part 125 for inflow from the first separation chamber 104 to a second separation chamber 114. Branching is performed into an air flow B wherein an air flow from the first dust housing part 105a compresses the dust accumulated inside the first dust housing part 105a and passes through and an air flow A which separates the dust in the second separation chamber 114 and they are merged on the upstream side of a motor-driven blower 107.
