PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather device of high performance capable of effectively exhibiting an oil separating function by cutting off oil immediately before blow-by gas flows into an oil separating chamber to reduce the oil content in blow-by gas. SOLUTION: In the breather device 5 separating oil from blow-by gas generated in an engine 1, a gasket 9 interposed between a blow-by gas exhaust opening 2c of the engine and a blow-by gas lead-in port 7a of an oil separating chamber 6 of the breather device is provided with openings 9c, 9d in positions offset from the blow-by gas lead-in port, and the blow-by gas lead-in port is provided with a flange 7c with which blow-by gas comes in contact, facing the openings.
