PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder stabilizing device capable of preventing a ladder from being turned over or rolled in the lateral direction to secure safety in a high lift work by fixing to the eaves end part of a roof in the tensed state of the ladder by a reaction between pads and the ground-contact face of the ladder. SOLUTION: This ladder stabilizing device 10 comprises a first member 12 having pads 11 allowed to pressingly fit to the roughly horizontal lower surface of a structure on which the ladder 1 is hung, a second member 13 fixed to the ladder, and a link means 14 connecting the first member to the second member so as to be vertically moved while always maintaining the pad surfaces of the first member in the roughly horizontal state. When the ladder is hung on the structure at a prescribed inclination angle, the pad surfaces of the first member is pressingly fitted to the roughly horizontal lower surface of the structure to stabilize the ladder by a reaction produced between the pad surfaces and the tread of the ladder.
