PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can obtain printing of a good image on a recording medium by surely and inexpensively performing registration when superposing and transferring a plurality of inks to the recording medium. SOLUTION: A marker recording unit 20 using a monochrome ink ribbon 24 is set upstream in a transfer path of the recording medium 2 of a recording unit 5a arranged uppermost stream in the transfer path of the recording medium 2, and at a rear face side of the recording medium 2.
