The invention relates to an outer ring (1) for a bearing, in particular for an anti-friction bearing. Said outer ring (1) comprises a ring body (3) and a first edge ring (4), which is situated in the vicinity of a first axial end (6) of the ring body (3) and is configured as a separate component. The first edge ring (4) has a radial calibration surface (9), which is pre-tensioned against a contact surface (12) of the ring body (3) and forces the ring body (3), at least in the region of said contact surface (12), to adopt a form that is predefined by the calibration surface (9). The outer ring (1) is characterised in that the first edge ring (4) and the ring body (3) lie in a positive fit in the axial direction.
