The invention concerns a roof structure for a sun roof system, said structure having a roof frame (20) extending at least between one windscreen pillar (18) and one rear structure pillar (24) of a vehicle. In or on the roof frame, a roof element (27) is guided so as to move substantially in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle between a closed position and an open position. The roof element is pivotable relative to the roof frame and foldable along the structure pillar. The latter is offset inwards relative to an external part (26) of the vehicle such that the latter can be closed without contacting the structure pillar. |
