Disclosed is means for determining the reactivity of a protein kinase or a protein phosphatase in a simple manner. Substrates for a protein kinase, each comprising at least one artificial peptide substrate which is produced by substituting a serine residue in an amino acid sequence contained in a naturally occurring substrate for the protein kinase by a threonine residue; a peptide array comprising the substrates immobilized thereon; a method for detecting a phosphorylation reaction an/or a dephosphorylation reaction which is characterized by using the peptide array and an anti-phospho-threonine antibody; a method for diagnosing a disease based on the activation and/or inactivation of a protein kinase and/or a protein phosphatase which is characterized by using the peptide array and an anti-phospho-threonine antibody; and a method for screening a target substance which can vary the protein kinase or protein phosphatase activity which is characterized by using the peptide array and an anti-phospho-threonine antibody.
