<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a terminal to easily obtain software for the terminal in a system, wherein an image forming apparatus receives image data that the terminal generates, by using the software for the terminal (printer driver) and forms an image. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device 101 and a terminal 105 can be connected by a local communications medium 103 and can be connected to a WAN 104 via the local communication medium 103. The image forming apparatus 101 has a nonvolatile memory 102 inside, and this nonvolatile memory 102 is stored with the software for the terminal, allowing the terminal 105 to print by using the image forming apparatus 101. When the terminal 105 uses the image forming apparatus 101 for the first time, the software for the terminal stored in the nonvolatile memory 102 is installed via the local communications medium 103 to be obtained as software 106 for the terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
