<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of easily and accurately detecting sparks generated by a motor-driven blower. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner 10 is provided with a dust collecting chamber 16 and the motor-driven blower 20 for making a suction negative pressure act on the dust collecting chamber 16 inside a cleaner body 11. The vacuum cleaner 10 includes a photodetection means (photodetection sensor) 21 for detecting light by the sparks generated by the friction of the commutator 312b of the motor-driven blower 20 and a carbon brush 35b, and a control means 22 for controlling the motor-driven blower 20 on the basis of the detected result of the photodetection means 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
