<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for binary serialization of a document efficiently processed. <P>SOLUTION: A method processing an XML document by a computer base system includes associating each of a plurality of information items to corresponding one of a plurality of binary data units, and providing the XML document related to an XML information set including at least one of the plurality of information items. The method includes serializing the XML document to a binary XML format, and deserializing the XML document from the binary XML format. The serialization includes converting at least one information item of the XML information set into at least one binary data unit corresponding thereto.
