<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag and an airbag apparatus capable of protecting an occupant's head from hitting a pillar at an oblique collision without enlarging the airbag volume. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag 10 of the airbag apparatus for a driver's seat includes an airbag body 12 which deploys so as to cover a steering wheel 2 in front of an occupant in the driver's seat and an upper extension portion 14 which covers an A-pillar 1, extending upwards from an upper left portion of the airbag body 12.
