PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of realizing optimum medium drying, enabling a user to obtain an excellent image without density unevenness, and capable of preventing wasteful energy consumption. SOLUTION: The image recording device has a drying mechanism for drying and fixing an ink image on a roll medium to be discharged and changes operating conditions of the drying mechanism corresponding to a medium type and/or a recording mode.
