PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand held power tool for freely changing a shape of a grip part in response to a user, and inexpensively re-purchasable when failure is caused in a motor and an electric driving part. SOLUTION: This hand held power tool has the motor 3, a driving transmitting part 4 and an output part 5 in a power tool body 1, and has a power source part 6 and a controller 7 in the grip part 2. The power tool body 1 and the grip part 2 are separately formed, and both 1 and 2 are detachably connected. Both the power tool body 1 and the grip part 2 are provided with a connecting terminal 9 for electrically connecting the power source part 6 and the motor 3 by contacting only in a state of connecting the power tool body 1 and the grip part 2.
