PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distal end portion of an ultrasonic endoscope for treatment which can safely and smoothly execute the puncture treatment by certainly thrusting a puncture needle even in a hard affected part without a risk of an unnecessary injury of a bronchial wall. SOLUTION: In the distal end portion of the ultrasonic endoscope for treatment wherein an ultrasonic probe 3 for the ultrasonic lateral scanning of the side of the distal end 2 of an insertion section of an insertion section 2 and a treatment tool projection aperture 6 to protrude the treatment tool in an ultrasonic scanning range by the ultrasonic probe 3 are arranged on one side surface of the distal end 2 of the insertion section, a balloon 10 freely inflated and deflated is attached to an only position at the back of the side surface of the distal end 2 of the insertion section on which the ultrasonic probe 3 and the treatment tool projection aperture 6 are disposed.
