DELIVERY DATE ANSWERING PROGRAM, DELIVERY DATE ANSWERING METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING THE METHOD

A delivery date answering system is used for answering a delivery date in the following way. A sale quota of a sellable distribution item is previously assigned. When a delivery date inquiry is received, the inquiry content is reserved from the sale quota to make a delivery date answer. If the inquiry content cannot be reserved within the sale quota, a sale quota change simulation is conducted, and the sale quota is changed to satisfy the delivery date, quantities, item content, and so forth required by the customer as much as possible, thus making a delivery date answer. Further, the history of reception of delivery date inquiry and the history of implementation of sale quota change simulation are held, the priority order of sale expected items used as basis for determination of the estimated sale quota is updated when the percentage of the implementation of the sale quota change simulation exceeds a criterion value, the result of the priority order is read, and a new sale quota used for reservation of delivery date answer is made.
