<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a point service providing method and system for an Internet user. <P>SOLUTION: A user terminal, an ISP server and the server of a power company are connected through the Internet. When the user terminal is connected to the Internet, a time measuring part measures a connection time in an ISP server. The ISP server integrates the connection time for a fixed period, and notifies the server of the power company of the connection time. The server of the power company applies points to a user based on the length of the connection time. Thus, it is possible for the user to receive various privileges according to the acquired number of points.
