<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint detecting apparatus which prevents the contamination on a fingerprint reading section due to the attachment of an oil and fat component, sweat, dust or the like and always enables the accurate reading of the fingerprint regardless of a surface condition of a finger. <P>SOLUTION: When a person mounts the finger 10 on a tape type film sheet 22 at a position corresponding to the fingerprint reading section of a fingerprint sensor 21, the fingerprint is read by the fingerprint reading section of the fingerprint sensor 21 and compared with the fingerprint data of two or more persons registered in a fingerprint data registration section beforehand. When the fingerprint comparison is completed, rollers 25 and 26 are rotated for certain amount by motors 27 and 28, and the tape type film sheet 22 is moved only for a distance L to cover the fingerprint sensor 21. Also, while the motor 27 and 28 are driven, a cleaning mechanism 29 cleans and disinfects the side of the moving film tape touched by the finger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
