CLOCK AND DATA REPRODUCING CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock and data reproducing circuit providing strong immunity against manufacturing process variations and environmental fluctuations and capable of recovering a clock signal and a data signal even from data including long same codes.

SOLUTION: The clock and data reproducing circuit includes: a data transition detection circuit for outputting pulses when data of a burst signal are subjected to transition; a first voltage-controlled oscillation circuit for controlling a phase of an oscillated oscillation signal with an output signal of the data transition detection circuit and outputting the oscillation signal as a clock signal; a frequency control circuit for controlling the frequency of the oscillation signal generated from the first voltage-controlled oscillation circuit and widths of the pulses outputted from the data transition detection circuit; and an identification circuit for sampling the burst signal in response to the output signal from the first voltage-controlled oscillation circuit and providing an output of the sampled signal as a data signal.
