摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device having a reflection layer having satisfactory reflection performance and to provide electronic equipment provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The transflective liquid crystal device is provided with: a liquid crystal layer 50 interposed between upper and lower substrates 30 and 20 disposed opposite to each other; a reflection display region 33 and a transmission display region 34 in one pixel region; and a reflection layer in the reflection display region 33 of the lower substrate 20. A pixel electrode 23, a switching element 22 for driving the pixel electrode 23 and a retention capacitance 17 connected to the pixel electrode 23 are provided in the pixel region 10 of the lower substrate 20. A capacitance electrode 27 in the retention capacitance 17 is made of polycrystalline silicon having ruggedness formed on an upper surface part to be an inner surface side of the lower substrate 20, and the reflection layer 26 is disposed above the capacitance electrode 27 made of the polycrystalline silicon and has ruggedness to which the ruggedness of the capacitance electrode 27 made of the polycrystalline silicon is transferred. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
