OPTICAL DEVICE FORMING MOLD, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING OPTICAL DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device forming mold capable of manufacturing an optical device having a uniform performance, having long service life and exhibiting excellent product yield and a method of manufacturing the same and a method of manufacturing the optical device using the same. SOLUTION: The optical device forming surface 5 is formed by heating and softening a base material 2 comprising glass materials and press-forming the resultant base material 2 using a mother mold having a desired shaped forming surface to transfer the forming surface of the mother mold to the base material 2. Next, the base material 2 is annealed under a condition of a prescribed temperature and a cooling rate. The annealing is carried out under the condition of the prescribed temperature and the cooling rate so as to leave thermal strain equal to or below the approximate strain of the strain produced on the device forming surface 5 in the formation of the device. After that, a fusion preventive film is formed on the device forming surface 5 formed on the base material 2.
